Question by Mrparanoid: WOW mount gold problem?
I am a Horde Undead Mage that has just hit lev30 for the first time.
if u have played wow before you’ll no doubt know that thats the time when you are finally able to be trained in riding and be able to purchase and ride a mount(in my case a skeleton horse).
here is my problem. purchasing the mount is well within the boundaries of my budget(8 gold). The training for being able to ride a basic mount however is ridiculously over-priced and as such cant afford it. i have 15 gold at the moment.
I know there are guides online but i wanted to hear from experienced players how to get a fair amount of gold in a reasonably short amount of time.
any tips or tricks would help me greatly.

Mining, skinning, herbalism is the way to go. You get good gold from selling your mats on the AH. Slow mounts used to be obtainable at level 40 so there was more time to save up back then, but they lowered the requirement to level 30.

you are going to have a heart attack when you want to get an epic flying mount at lvl70 5200G for training and mount.
That said, if you have a proffesion try making/farming and selling on the Auction House.
My suggestion to get gold would be to run instances. I have a 80 Blood Elf Death Knight & a 63 Human Priest.
When i am down on gold, i just get a bunch of random people together and run the instance close to my Level. My suggestion to yours would be the Scarlet Monastery. Either get a really high level to run you or just get some friends together but either way, you’ll come out with some sweet gear and alot of money form looting, and selling the extra stuff you don’t need or just sell in the Action house.
or hell you should try getting a profession and make money off that. ( the best money makers are Enchanting & Blacksmith)
Good Luck, I know how it feels to get to level 30 and not have money, but thanks to those ideas my both my characters have a total of 2300g with my epic flying mount on my dk and epic horse on the priest, ( so i guess not much else to buy)
ps, I know it might be tempting, but NEVER buy gold from those damn gold farmers, you will be caught and banned from wow. and you wont get your money back from the farmers. I have a friend that got his level 55 deleted because of it.
I wouldn’t really worry about it. Just start saving up as you level, and you should be able to afford it by 35.
