you could buy it… or you could do wat i did and mine coal… full dragon and abyss whip is wat i got from it. quite boring though worth it.
depends on your level buy green dragon bones
1.Mine for ores and sell at grand exchange
2.Kill Hill Giant sell bones at grand exchange
mine 27 pure essence with no armor or WEAPONS then go to the monk island and near the side of the house you will find people trading 27 runes with 27 essence trade with them and keep doing it for a while and sell them 1 for a 100gp
I played Runescape before, so I’ll tell you what I know. Advice for a start, get a SECURE password, something like 12 chracters, and never flaunt your wealth in public. That means getting hacked easy. And, if you doubt my advice, my character’s Fly305, which is obviously not a high-level character, but I consider my mining to be of a high enough level to give my humble advice. Oh, and I quitted because I got hacked… you would not want to experience the pain of losing 1000 mithril and 2000 coal… and a full rune set + pick (sobs!) and 250k gold
Nevermind that
If you’re new, there are 3 methods that I know and like
Method 1:
Ask yourself, how much do you want? (Be realistic – 1000 to 5000 gold is good for a start) Anything above 10,000 will probably not work. Stand around a high-traffic area like the desert smelting area or where high-level players chat around and smack cows or ogres. Ask for jobs (Expect that to be extremely mundane – like killing chickens for 2000 feathers or something). Once you have something like 10k to 20k gold, then you can start buying or trading items and being the middle man(which I did not like). You can actually gain a LOT of gold this way, but it requires intensive record-keeping, and often people don’t do what they are supposed to do, and don’t get what they are supposed to get and give you all sorts of nonsense. If you gather stuff in exchange for gold for a higher-level character, keep your promise always, and they will almost always keep theirs (except in the wilderness, of course)
Method 2:
Find a mine (If you’re new, you’re unlikely to gain access to the Miner’s Guild, which I love), get a pick and start mining stuff. Start with copper and tin and smelt them to get some bronze, smith some bronze stuff and sell to the shops. If you get something like 200 copper and tin, then sell all the bronze items, you should have decent levels for all the skills involved to start really playing the game. I mine and smelt for a living, and believe me, once you start mining iron on a low population server, you’re a levelling-up powerhouse. You’re unlikely to be a successful competitor for coal, so stick with iron until you reach high levels like 40 to 60 or so. Iron weapons are not worth standing around and selling to players, so sell them to shops as well. The money-making part of this method is: Once you reach Mithril and Adamantite (I know, it’s a LONG LONG way away), you easily become rich. Mith and Addy weapons are popular amongst 20-40 level characters. Also, they are VALUED amongst smelters, so sell them high (but not too high). If you don’t fancy mining, fishing and woodcutting have a similar effect, but they don’t have a levelling up powerhouse equivalent like iron
Finally, there’s Method 3: The RISKY WAY
You wanna get rich quick? This is the way. DON’T LEVEL UP. Funny? There’s some place in the wilderness called the Boneyard. In the Boneyard there are spawning points for regular bones and Big Bones. Each Big Bone fetches you 500 gold street price if you don’t get killed by lower-level characters on your way back. You don’t want to level up because higher-level characters who can kill you in 1 shot cannot touch you because of the large level difference. This is more difficult than it sounds, because high-level characters sometimes employ a level 10 something character to kill low-level characters for them so they can get the Big Bones for themselves. If they don’t want to give it to him, then he can always kill the guy, right?
That’s most of what I use to get cash. Be on the lookout for good deals always, and never, NEVER scam people, and don’t get scammed yourself. Beware of item swaps. I’m sure if you ask for advice in the game world, you’ll get some pretty good ones. One last thing, if people want you to do something for LOTS OF TREASURE, or want you to go into a TEMPLE (I forgot the name already – it’s somewhere up north, but not in the wilderness) to “get the wine” or “click on it”, don’t follow, or you’ll be sorry indeed.
That’s all, and good luck, oh, and have fun!
